Plant A Row Seminar Held at Port Library

On Saturday March 9th, Plant A Row for the Hungry, Port Washington conducted a 2 hour seminar at the Port Washington Public Library teaming up with the Library Earth Day Committee instructed a large group of residents on the art of Square Foot Gardening and Composting.

Reese Michaels, board member of the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County conducted the seminar along with a group of his fellow Master Gardeners. Also as part of the seminar, we conducted a demo of the AeroGarden Hydroponic Growing System which is producing great herbs. The six featured painted planters were created by the Schreiber High School Art Honors Society. The planters will be on display at the Residents Forward

Gala on March 22nd At the Leonards of Great Neck Catering.
